Set in Ottoman-controlled Arabia during World War I, Naji Abu Nowar's Theeb centers two brothers who must escort a British military officer across the barren desert. The film features beautifully lensed shots of the boys traversing the white sands as they encounter bandits and mercenaries along the way.
