Watching movies on a flat surface is so twentieth century. Step into the future of cinema tonight at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Planetarium Project, a collaborative concert presented by the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Animators from CIA and composers from CIM have teamed up to create five new films to be projected on the dome of the planetarium. This audio/visual marvel uses state of the art technology to create an immersive environment of music and images. The animators designed their images to be displayed in a 360° format, just as the composers mixed their electronic works for surround sound. Tickets are $8 to $10 and the shows start at 9 and 9:45.
