In the grand tradition of singing bandleaders like Chet Baker and Nat King Cole, guitarist Tuey Connell brings an understated sensuality to his six-string work and lush baritone vocals -- and in his hands, even the banjo takes on a warm tone. His trio plays a mix of blues, jazz, roots, and swing that goes down like warm brandy. And given the weather, couldn't you use a shot?
