Walk All Over Waterloo

When: Fri., Jan. 8 2016

With January’s first Friday falling on New Year’s Day, the galleries and small businesses of Collinwood’s Waterloo Arts District moved this month’s Walk All Over Waterloo to a special second Friday for the first time ever. In addition to the Fandom 216 Kickoff Party at Waterloo Arts this Sunday (See this week’s Arts Lead for more info), there are a number of other events and exhibitions throughout the district on Friday. John Farina and Adam Tully’s Maria Neil Art Project hosts an opening reception from 5 to 10 p.m. for their first exhibition of 2016, Jen Craun’s Inherent. Craun’s exhibition of recent wood intaglio prints are inspired by the molecular and chemical processes, invisible to the eye. Through her imagery and compositions, Craun connects her final works back to the processes and materials that created it. Last May, Craun stepped down as Associate Director of Zygote Press to focus on her studio practice full time. Come see for yourself how busy she's been. There’s plenty more to see up and down Waterloo Road too. Free. (Usmani) waterlooarts.org.
