“When it comes to images of evil, corruption, derangement, raw passion and mutilation (roughly in that order),” it has been written about director David Lynch, “Wild at Heart is a veritable cornucopia.” Though the images often come at the expense of character in Lynch’s experimental work, they are bizarre and hypnotic to behold. That’s especially true in Wild at Heart, Lynch’s 1990 film about two young lovers (Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern) making a break for California. Tonight at midnight at Capitol Theatre, as part of Cleveland Cinemas/Melt Late Shift cult classic series, the film screens for your viewing pleasure, and the scene where some guy blows off his head with a shotgun will be unedited in all its NC-17 gory… I mean glory! Tix are $5. (Allard) 1390 West 65th St., 216-651-7295, clevelandcinemas.com.
