Waterloo Alley Cats Fundraiser

When: Sat., Feb. 18 2017

Founded in 2009, the Waterloo Alley Cat Project is a community effort in Collinwood which seeks to address the neighborhood’s concerns about the large number of homeless/stray cats between the Waterloo Arts District and Euclid Beach. Over the past eight years, the group has spayed/neutered more than 300 cats using the trap-neuter-return method, helping reduce the cat population in the area drastically yet humanely. From 7 to 11 p.m. tonight, Waterloo’s Slovenian Worker’s Home hosts the 8th Annual Waterloo Alley Cats Fundraiser. The event includes a silent auction, a raffle featuring gift baskets and a $1,000 grand prize, appetizers, cash bar and music from Ace Molar, featuring Fox 8’s Todd Meany. Admission is $20, and all money raised will benefit the community’s stray cats. Additionally, the organization requests donations of cat food and cat supplies at the door.
