Why Isn't Cheap Trick in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?/Sky Dragster
When: Thu., April 18, 8 p.m. 2013
Given the controversy that usually surrounds the annual Rock Hall Inductions, it’s not surprising that some pissed off fan would start a band called Why Isn't Cheap Trick in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yes, that’s really the band’s name. Headed up by Colin Gawel, who has had some regional success with the regional band Watershed, which was signed to Epic Records for a minute, the group plans to play a set of Cheap Trick covers (and the timing is perfect since tonight’s the night of the Rock Hall Inductions). No one knows the power-pop band’s catalogue better than Gawel. He once ranked every Cheap Trick single and provided notations that explained his picks. (Jeff Niesel)
