With the release of his new album I Am just around the corner, Yo Gotti continues his career as a street rapper, businessman and a host of other occupations and identities. The Memphis-based rapper explains that the new album title prefixes his personas: a hustler; a father; a brother; a businessman. As a collaborator, Gotti receives assistance on the new record by artists like T.I., Ne-Yo, J. Cole, Jeezy, YG and others. As more of a preservationist than pioneer, for years Gotti has made it his goal to keep "real" street music alive and hasn't strayed from his goal. Releasing underground mixtapes and relating to those that aren't professional rappers keeps him in check with his word. The show tonight promises to be nothing short of amazing with openers like Zed Zilla, Shy Glizzy, and Ca$h Out that can hold their own alongside Gotti. (Stoops)
