Saddle Ridge Saloon owner Ronnie James thinks old-fashioned television broadcasts will be going the way of VHS pretty soon. Thats why he beams the internet-only Rock Me TV four times a week on his bars dozens of screens. Everythings going to the internet, and Im riding that wave, he says.
James is doing his part by auditioning local Carmen Elektra and Pamela Andreson wannabes to host a locally produced live music show for Rock Me TV thats aimed exclusively at clubhoppers. Just drop by the bar and tell him youve got what it takes. I know shes here somewhere, he says. Theres a lot of people who want national exposure. While the music-oriented Rock Me TVs lineup includes programs like Hip-Hop Boot Camp and Hard Rock Live, James hopes his new show on the N.Y.C.-based network will give Clevelanders a much-needed entertainment boost. Hes even scouting local clubs for up-and-coming bands for the program, which doesnt have a debut date yet. Theres so much talent in this city, he says.
