7/8: Wild Wednesdays at the Zoo

Cuyahoga County (and Hinckley Township) residents pay taxes to support the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way, 216.661.6500). In return, they get free admission every Monday. Over the summer, the zoo is giving a little incentive to residents of surrounding counties to stop by: Starting today, it’s offering “Wild Wednesday” half-price admission to residents of a different county each week, making the zoo’s normal admission just $5 with valid ID with address. Today, Lake County residents get the deal, followed by Lorain (July 15), Summit (July 22), Portage (July 29), Geauga (August 5) and Medina (August 12). Zoo hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. — Anastasia Pantsios
