9/14: Between the Trees at Peabody's

Orlando trio Between the Trees were supposed to release their second album a while back, but they split with their record company before they got the chance. After some delay, Spain finally came out last month on the band’s own label. Onstage, the Trees play a mix of new tunes plus some from their 2006 debut, The Story and the Song — all of which boast singalong choruses and anthemic verses, mostly about falling in and out of love. It’s all very earnest and optimistic; you’ll either dig their positive vibrations or you’ll want to throw something at them. Pop-punk openers Punchline are undeniably catchy, and Farewell just released their second hook-filled record. Action Item starts things off at 6:30 p.m. at Peabody’s Down Under (2045 E. 21st St., 216.776.9999). Tickets: $10. — Emily Zemler
