Fans love New Jersey rockers (or post-hardcore rockers, if you’re a stickler for genre categorization) Thursday, no matter what they do. Fortunately, their live show measures up to expectations. The band’s latest album, Common Existence, offers a rawer and more explosive sound than many of its earlier records. Openers the Fall of Troy will release their third album, In the Unlikely Event, soon, and time has restrained their staccato-heavy sound into something slightly more accessible (though they’re still capable of splitting ears onstage). Kentucky’s Young Widows and Michigan’s La Dispute lay the groundwork with equally complex hardcore. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Beachland Ballroom (15711 Waterloo Rd., 216.383.1124). Tickets: $18 advance, $20 day of show. — Emily Zemler
