One of the highlights of the annual Winter Show (taking place November 21-January 3) at the Cleveland Botanical Garden (11030 East Blvd., 216.721.1600) is its display of exquisite gingerbread houses. Many are created by professionals, but others are made by regular folks like you who’ve submitted entries for consideration. If you’re not an old hand at this, the Garden offers a workshop for families from 3:30-5 p.m. today. You’ll get a pre-constructed house to decorate with attractive edibles; Stefanie Paganini of the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking guides you through it. The workshop is $40 for members, $50 for non-members, and includes all materials. (Each child-adult team will get one house.) Make reservations at 216.721.1600 ext. 100. — Anastasia Pantsios
