12/4: Wicked: Defying Gravity at State Theatre

With a little help from some friends, PlayhouseSquare has a posh deal for young professionals (that’s ages 21 to 35, if you’re keeping score) who check out the Broadway touring production of Wicked tonight. If the story of misunderstood witch Elphaba (who is smart and has great pipes and beautiful green skin) and what happened in Oz before Dorothy arrives isn’t enough to bring you downtown, there’s free valet parking, pre-show cocktails at the Wyndham Hotel and a Defying Gravity post-show party, where Wicked cast members will join fans in the Wyndham’s 14th-floor Presidential Suite. You can purchase the package by entering the code “YPW” when you buy online tickets. Showtime is 8 p.m. at the State Theatre (1519 Euclid Ave., 216.241.6000). Tickets: $34.50-$130. — Michael Gill
