2/6: Smooches & Pooches Valentine Dance

Do you know why your dog is looking at you imploringly? No, not because you took that dirty sock away from him. He wants to go out dancing! So dress him up, dress yourself up — anything goes! — and the two of you head down to Parish Hall (6205 Detroit Ave.) for the Smooches and Pooches Valentine Dance sponsored by Friends of the Cleveland Kennel and Secondhand Mutts. From 7:30-11 p.m., you and your dog can enjoy food and drink from area establishments like Gypsy Beans, the Happy Dog, Reddstone and Atrefino Café, dance to music by DJ RA Washington, play games and have your photo taken at the photo booth. A Canine Court will be crowned, so spruce up your dog and enter him. It’s $10 for you, free for your dog; tickets are available at the door. — Anastasia Pantsios
