Call it dancing with the luminaries. The group of people that GroundWorks DanceTheater has assembled to perform at its Decade 2 Dance benefit aren’t dancers, actors or anything like that. They’re chemists and restaurateurs. Sure, they can throw it down in a boardroom or a design charrette, but what about when it comes to the dance floor? The guest celebrities — including chef Sergio Abramof, United Way CEO K. Michael Benz and philanthropist Donna Kohl — will be paired with GroundWorks dancers in a competition where guests will vote with dollars. The party includes drinks, dinner and dancing (with music by Moss Stanley and Nitebridge). It starts at 6 p.m. at Windows on the River (2000 Sycamore St., 216.691.3180). Tickets: $125 and up. — Michael Gill
