Beach Boy Toys

It's no secret that we think the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds is one of the greatest albums ever made. We own the regular version, the expanded reissue, the boxed set, and the new super-deluxe fuzzy-cover edition. We've spent countless hours listening to the 1966 classic, trying to wrap our puny brain around Brian Wilson's genius. We've failed many, many times. But now we can wrap our hands around Wilson, who's getting his own action figure, just in time for the holidays. The limited-edition figure features Wilson as he looked around the time of Pet Sounds' recording -- prior to his post-Smile breakdown and bloat. Alas, plastic Brian doesn't come with anything other than the clothes the real Brian sports on Pet Sounds' cover. But that My Little Sandbox Dino Land would make a perfect accessory for that very special Beach Boys fan in your life. -- Michael Gallucci
