Shiny Toy Guns
We're only three days into the new year and 2007 has already generated a buzz band. Los Angeles' Shiny Toy Guns released their debut album, We Are Pilots, late last year. But they're just now loading up. The synth-pop quartet is sorta like the Killers — but with a girl co-singer and none of the ego. For a taste, Pilots' peppy "Le Disko" is available as iTunes' free Single of the Week through Monday. Shiny Toy Guns have a show at House of Blues on January 28. And it's free! Only thing, WXRK 92.3-FM listeners have to text the station to win tickets. That's the only way you'll score a pair to the year's biggest buzz band . . . so far. --Michael Gallucci
