Kenna Pre-Concert In-Store Appearance Tuesday

Kenna will make an in-store appearance at the Cleveland Heights Borders (3466 Mayfield Rd.) Tuesday, October 16. The Ethopian-born singer will perform and meet fans. The event is free and starts at 4 p.m. Later that night, he opens the She Wants Revenge show at the Agora (5000 Euclid Ave.) Make Sure They See My Face, Kenna's new disc, was produced by the Chad Hugo, half of celebrity production team the Neptunes -- though Kenna's solo tunes remain blissfully unclassifiable, to put it mildly. His body of work stomps from punky dance to some of the most depressing songs ever. "Say Goodbye To Love," the lead-off single from the new disc, is an ecstatic slice of electro-disco that's one of the season's must-hear tunes. Read more about Kenna in this week's Scene. -- D.X.
