We could have told you all about Choke frontwoman Cameron Eve. But honestly, we were afraid of what she might do to us if she didn't like it. Which we found kind of hot, actually. Anyway, we'll let her bassist do the talking ... Band: The Choke Web: www.the-choke.com or www.myspace.com/thechokenyc Hometown: NYC Sounds like: "Badass street pop songs delivered with the attack of Class of ’77 punk rock = a party in yer mouth." Recommend for fans of: "Ramones, Shangri-Las, Buzzcocks, Saints, Damned, Paybacks, Avengers, Pagans, Pretenders." Fun fact: "Much like Boy George, our drummer Jonny Napalm has performed community service in Manhattan - for flyering rock shows!" Playing Where/When: 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6 at Now That’s Class (11213 Detroit Ave., 216-221-8576) http://www.myspace.com/nowthatsclass Why you need to see them: "We are unaffected by the writers’ strike, and more entertaining than Heroes. Like Smith-Barney, we EARN it!" -- Knuckles, bass
