All Roue Wants for Christmas is a Hot Tub in the Green Room

Next week, Roue headlines the Grog Shop's Christmas-night show for the third consecutive year. The recently-broken-up-and-reformed band blurs the line between indie- and alt-rock so blissfully, you'll want to grab someone -- but then you'll be suddenly unsure of whether to start fighting or making out. As is the custom at Scene, we asked frontman Justin Coulter about his Christmas wish. What does Roue want for Christmas this year? We'd like the Grog Shop to keep their promise and get that damned hot tub for the green room. Also, we'd like to spend a quiet night with Neely. And if Santa somehow missed all the things we do on a regular basis, maybe we'll wake up a little taller. What else is going on? We've been saving our money so we can buy Steve some pants for the winter. Also, two of the members in Roue recently learned to read - very exciting! Anything else? Our friends are less sober than your friends, and our girlfriends are hotter. X-Mas At Ye Ol' Grog, with Roué, Machine Go Boom, and Short Rabbits. 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 25, $6 (all ages). -- D.X.
