For all you film buffs who are sick of It’s a Wonderful Life, here’s something to look forward to in the new year. The Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood is hosting a preview screening of the new PBS documentary “The Jewish Americans,” on January 3. Not only will you enjoy a romp through 350 years of history —from 18th century immigrants to Irving Berlin — you’ll get to fire questions at the film’s executive producer, Jay Sanderson. Admission is free, but for reservations call 216-916-6301 or e-mail nbrown@ideastream.org. -- Lisa Rab
