R&B songstress Conya Doss to promote record on WVIZ’s Applause, at Borders and the Beachland


Neo-soul standout Conya Doss will take her hometown of Cleveland by storm this week, appearing all over the city and its airwaves in the days before her CD release party Saturday March 29 at the Beachland Ballroom (15711 Waterloo Ave., 216-383-1124) . Thursday afternoon, she’ll appear on WCPN ´90.3 FM’s Around Noon, a smart little arts show hosted by Dee Perry. You can listen live on the Internet at www.wviz.org. Thursday night, Doss will appear on WVIZ’s Applause, performing three songs from her new CD, Still …. The show airs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. Sunday. And before her 8 p.m. show Saturday, the singer will make an in-store appearance at the Cleveland Heights Borders (3466 Mayfield Road) from 4 to 5 p.m. She’ll meet and greet fans, signing copies of the new disc. -- D.X.
