We see you staring, Parma Heights.

Good News. Bad News.

We’ll do the bad news first: Clevelanders are now topping another list, one more dubious honor to throw up on the shelf with all the others. This time: Clevelanders top the state in throwing good money away on long odds. Yup, we're a lottery town. In fact, Clevelanders love the lottery so much that when Columbus Business First set out to analyze the top 10 zip codes in Ohio Lottery sales, they were surprised to find that six of the top 10 were in Cleveland. Another two were located in the surrounding area. The list topper? 44130 — Parma Heights and Middleburg Heights. Residents there spent $24 million on the Ohio Lottery in the last fiscal year.

Good news: This really bodes well for the Cleveland casino.
