It wasn't that long ago that Mark Puente was leaving the Plain Dealer, all set for the sunny shores in Florida and a new gig at the St. Petersburg Times.

All that's changed.

Mark is now staying put with the PD because of some unforeseen personal things.

It's safe to say we join every employee in County government in saying we're glad to still have him in town and wish him and his intrepid colleagues at the Metro section nothing but the best.
