Police have discovered a grisly scene in Carrollton where they found a mother and her two children dead in an apparent double homicide and suicide.

Names have not been released yet pending notification of next of kin.

The 24-year-old mother apparently shot her 18-month-old son and 6-year-old daughter and then killed herself.

Each child had a different father, both of whom live out of state.

According to the Canton Repository:

Williams said a call came into his office at 7:36 a.m. from the woman's father, telling the sheriff what he had found at his home at 114 Waynesburg Rd., Carrollton.

Williams said, at noon, that both children have fathers who reside out of state, and no details, names or further information would be presented until those fathers and other next-of-kin have been notified.

The county coroner, Williams, and investigating officers remain at the scene.
