Quicken Loans arena will soon be invaded by scantily clad women playing football. Or something resembling football.

Today the Lingerie Football League announced that Cleveland has been given a new franchise that will open play in the 2011 season.

Say hello to the Cleveland Crush.

According to NewsNet5:

The team will be called the Cleveland Crush and was picked from roughly 7,500 name submissions.

“We could not be more excited to be in a market like Cleveland with its storied history in support of its pro teams, whether they won or lost. LFL Football will translate incredibly well and based on the initial fan support, we suspect Cleveland will a top market for the league,” said founder and chairman of the LFL Mitchell S. Mortaza.

The Cleveland Crush will hold open-call tryouts before the first day of mini-camp in April.

Please, temper your excitement.
