So that was fun, right?
Downtown Cleveland was buried by a deluge of lake-effect snow yesterday which dumped tons of powder over the city just as everyone was trying to leave work for the day.
Traffic? A clusterfuck. Commutes? Marathon lengths.
It was exactly the kind of story local TV news is made for. When weather's a mess, that's when those anchors make their money. It's solid television.
We're pretty sure we turned on Fox 8 and heard Dick Goddard, when asked what it was like outside, say, "There's a metric fuck-ton of snow. What do you want me to say? Screw it, let's look at some cats that need adopting."
Or that could have been a haze of Christmas Ale talking, because as 19 Action News shows us, when Cleveland is buried in snow and facing snarled traffic, Clevelanders give up on driving and head to the bar to drink.
After the jump check out that video, as well as the rest of the weather porn from yesterday's affair.
