There are plenty of updates to the story of Ted Williams, the overnight internet sensation.
First, it turns out the man with the golden radio voice also has a 14-carat rap sheet. The Smoking Gun reports:
Williams, 53, has been busted for theft, robbery, escape, forgery, and drug possession. He is pictured at right in mug shots taken as a result of those Ohio collars, which stretch back more than two decades.
But that didn't discourage the Cavaliers from continuing to pursue Williams for a job with Quicken Loans Arena and the team. They even built a website lobbying for Williams to choose them over the multitudes of other job offers he received in the wake of the video from the Columbus Dispatch.
It must have worked, because Williams says he will officially be taking the job with the Cavs and their generous offer of a free house.
