Produced in 1973, this ad has The Illuminating Company explaining how it works ten years into the future. The accompanying graphic shows monorails in the year 1983. As the Reddit submitter said, "Where are my damn monorails, good sirs?" After all, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail.
