The AP reports that five people were charged with trying to steal the carcass of one of the lions that was shot, killed, and buried. Surely they had good reason to.... nevermind. We can't even finish that sentence. What the hell, Zanesville?

Sheriff's deputies say in documents released last week that they stopped the group after they loaded the lion's body into the back of a Jeep several hours after the animals had been set free by their owner.

The five, which include one teenager, were charged with misdemeanor counts of theft on Monday.
