Coors Family Coming to Tribe Game Friday to Pimp the Banquet Beer

Breaking banquet-beer news this morning coming from The 330: The Coors family is on a cross-country tour to pimp Coors Original, which 99% of Americans assume hasn't been made since 1987.

It sits in the shadows of Miller High Life, the champagne of beers, and a string of other old-timey brews that have kept hold of their old-timey strongholds. For instance, Stroh's, Blatz, PBR, and any other beer you can buy for $5 at a hipster bar.

The Cleveland visit Friday will be outside Jacobs Field during the Tribe game. The Coors Men will arrive in a decked-out Coors Original RV.

"Our family has lived the Coors Banquet heritage since its inception, and my son and I are proud to personally take the famed Banquet trek across the nation," Pete Coors, MillerCoors chairman and great-grandson of Coors Brewing founder Adolph Coors, said in a prepared statement. "We have often marveled at the extent to which loyal Banquet drinkers will go to enjoy the quality taste of Coors and are looking foward to celebrating with them."

Eh, wake us up when a goat shows up to sip some Schaefer with us.
