BMV in Painesville is a real Pain, Surveys Show

Results are in!The BMV license bureau on E. 55th Street is no longer the worst in the state, according to 2012 surveys. That distinction now falls to the Painsville branch on North Ridge Road.

E. 55th, which was in last place in 2008, 2009, and then again in 2011, was fourth-worst last year. The Painesville office sucks in just about every category possible, and has now sunk to unprecedented levels of poor performance in courtesy, cleanliness and efficiency.

Road Rant's John Horton has the gritty deets on other dismal performers:

Three other local bureaus also nabbed spots in the Not-So-Top 10. Those rotten reviews befell branches in:

•Wickliffe, which finished next-to-last to give Lake County the bottom two slots.

•Mayfield Heights, a regular resident on the wrong end of the rankings.

•Chester Township in Geauga County.

The top-ranked office in Cuyahoga County was the outpost in Strongsville.

(High-five for the sweet headline?)
