Coventry's Doghouse Bites the Dust

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Doghouse, one of the few places in town that knew its way around an Italian beef sandwich. Located on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights, the largely carry-out shop specialized in Chicago-style hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches.

Those beef sandwiches — shaved beef, soaking in cooking juices, forked into a hoagie bun, topped with hot giardiniera, and showered with more gravy — were just the ticket after a night at the bars.

Doghouse: You will be missed.
