An escaped inmate from the Mansfield Correctional Facility has been captured thanks to a flag-shirt wearing good samaritan.

Police reported that escaped convict James David Myers was spotted at a check-out counter at a general store in Ashland yesterday evening when a customer recognized him and tackled him to the ground.

The man restrained the inmate until the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived a short time later.

Myers has been returned to the Mansfield Correctional Facility.

Props to flag-shirt wearing hero.
