Sun News Employees Also Facing Layoffs, Moves Today

Following this morning's round of layoffs at The Plain Dealer (scratch that - at the homes of Plain Dealer employees, via phone), more of the same is taking place at the Sun News office in Valley View.

As sources in the newsroom explain today, reporters, editors, photographers et. al. are meeting one-on-one with the company's human resources representative to learn their fate.

Some have been "separated from employment" already, as parent company Advance Publications' parlance goes. Others are being moved to roles within the newly formed Northeast Ohio Media Group. Those with a future at the company were reportedly told to gather at the office, located on the west bank of The Flats downtown.
