200 Pound Statue Stolen from Ohio Golf Tournament in Dublin

Golf in Dublin, OH has been anything but boring as of late.

Just a few days ago, a female streaker sprinted her way through the Presidents Cup. Today, news has come in that a 200 pound golf ball sculpture has been stolen from the Ohio Memorial Golf Tournament.

Police are offering a mulligan to the 3-foot golf ball sculpture thief. They say that if the hefty ball, valued at $2,500, is returned undamaged by Saturday at midnight, no charges will be filed and no questions will be asked.

After that, any suspects identified could face charges.

The over-sized sculpture was created for a central Ohio public art project and is one of 18 similar pieces that were decorated by area artists and sold to sponsors for the recent Presidents Cup and the annual Memorial Tournament.

Anyone who has information on the missing piece, or who happens to see a 200 pound golf ball lying around, is urged to contact Dublin police.
