Cleveland is about to host another round of film crews and celebrities as the movie Jenny's Wedding, starring Katherine Heigl and Tom Wilkinson, begins filming on Monday, the Greater Cleveland Film Commission announced yesterday.

The film centers around Heigl's character, Jenny, who causes a massive sea change in the lives of her closely knit, highly traditional family when she announces an unusual pick for her marriage partner.

Jenny's Wedding will be directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue, who has written several other hit screenplays including White Oleander, Veronica Guerin, and Beaches. The film will be co-produced by Gail Levin and MM Productions’ Michelle Manning.

“Mary Agnes is a great storyteller, so it’s real exciting to have this caliber of film shooting in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio,” Ivan Schwarz, the film commission’s executive director, told the Plain Dealer.

Jenny's Wedding is excepted to shoot here in Cleveland for three to four weeks. Specific filming locations have yet to be disclosed.
