Beginning at 1 p.m. today, the city of Cleveland instituted a parking ban due to - and we're paraphrasing Safety Director Marty Flask here - the crazy-ass snowstorm brewing out there.

If you can even make it to your iced-over car at this hour, the city is requesting that you get it off the street (provided your street has one of those red and white signs posted).

19 Action News has a helpful roundup of all area cities with parking bans in effect. So take care of that, make yourself a pot of afternoon coffee, and peruse Scene's dandy little roundup of 2013's biggest news stories.
