Local meteorologists are predicting record-setting lows to hit northeast Ohio, with temperatures dipping as low as -30 with windchill.
A massive arctic air mass will slide southeast across the Great Lakes into Ohio on Monday. Temperatures will drop below zero by late afternoon or evening Monday and continue to fall through Tuesday morning.
Several of our computer forecast products are predicting low temperatures by the time you get up and go on Jan. 7 of between -15 and -20 degrees. Those are air temperatures.
Winds will likely be gusty out of the northwest at between 15 and 25 mph. That would put wind chill/"feels like" temperatures in the -30 degree range.
