Oberlin College Adopts a New Mascot and It's a... Squirrel?

Oberlin  College has adopted a new mascot: a ferocious albino squirrel.

(We're  pretty sure the Yeomen and Yeowomen's athletic rivals will be quivering in their tube socks at the sight of this thing.)

Apparently these genetically mutated creatures have long been part of Oberlin's history, and bring good luck to anyone who sees them.

Problem is, the only time people actually spot one is when the little guy's feet are up, squashed in the middle of the road.

Nevertheless, college spokespeople insist that, "anyone who says squirrels are not fierce clearly hasn’t interacted with one."

The college has struggled to find an appropriate mascot for quite some time, because not even Oberlin's supervisory authorities know what in the hell a "Yeoman" is.

Guess this albino squirrel thing is as close as they could get.

Fight on, OC!
