Two Cleveland Comic Book Shops Expand to Larger Store Locations

In the Greater Cleveland area, there are over a half dozen comic book store options. Two of those options have expanded into larger store locations. If you're an East sider, Cleveland Comics has relocated down the street from where it was at. For those on the West side, Kidforce Collectibles is also moving a few blocks away into a larger store.

Cleveland Comics' relocation is into a much bigger space. Owner Ari Sudilovsky says the old location “needed more room to breathe and display merchandise.”

“It was difficult to see all we had to offer. In the new space we have finally been able to stretch our legs out and show our wares properly,” Sudilovsky continues. “We now have more space for less distributed books and will be able to continue to grow our graphic novel, anthology, manga and [other] offerings.”

Cleveland Comics' new spot is not only going to have a bigger space for customers to see more that is available to purchase, it is also about adding new elements to the shop to make for a more engaging experience. Sudilovsky spoke about all the added features to Cleveland Comics' new store location — large tournament rooms, gaming areas, a stage, hosting birthday parties, drawing classes, an art gallery, movie screenings and more.

“We will always seek to improve our existing programs and methods [to] add new ways to enjoy our shared passion,” Sudilovsky says.

Kidforce Collectibles will also be offering more than just comics, graphic novels and Magic: The Gathering card tournaments. Owner Joe Kiskis detailed the new expansion additions to his shop.

“We have been in Berea for five years now and our newest location is going to offer a larger location to showcase some high-end collectibles like comics and comic-based statues, action figures, vintage toys from lines like Star Wars, Transformers and Super Powers,” Kiskis says. “We are also going to have a new, larger tournament area for Magic: The Gathering and unique events like the Ohio State Pinball Championships! We look forward to meeting everyone's gaming needs at our new shop, opening at the end of January.”
