The first-ever Bacon and Beer Festival is slated to roll out in Cleveland this spring, promising locals an entire afternoon of shoveling life-shortening provisions down our gullets.

The result of a partnership between northeast Ohio-based Winking Lizard and Baltimore-based Heavy Seas Brewery, the fest will provide folks with unlimited brews, bacon-inspired food, and a coveted "I love bacon," T-shirt, all for the price of admission.

"We are proud to partner with Heavy Seas Brewery out of Baltimore as they have held a bacon festival for over five years," John Lane of the Winking Lizard said in a press release. "They are also the only brewery that I know that has a beer which is touted as the best to pair with bacon!" he said.

Several of the Heavy Seas brew varieties to be featured at the event include Blackbeard's Breakfast, Desert Island MacSchultz, Desert Island Schwarzbier, and Phantom Ship Bourbon Barrel Aged Tripel, for those who are familiar.

The fest takes place on Saturday, May 9 from 12 - 4 p.m. at the Galleria in downtown Cleveland. Tickets will set you back $50 in advance, and $55 at the door.
