Binge-watchers can get an intimate look at Netflix’s most successful original series this summer at the Cleveland Public Library: Piper Kerman, whose memoir Orange is the New Black
inspired the hit series, will speak June 13 as part of the library’s “Writers and Readers” program.
Entry into the event is free for all, and though the talk doesn’t begin until 2 p.m., the library advises Dandelion fans get there early (doors open at 1 p.m.).
Previously, the series has hosted hometown hero Michelle Knight and Central Park jogger Trisha Meili. This third speech will round out a trifecta of women’s rights activists who have written about hurdles and hope.
The third season of “Orange is the New Black” will debut on Netflix on June 12.
