On Friday, the Supreme Court declared in a historic 5-4 ruling that same-sex marriage is now legal in all 50 states. One Cleveland couple wasted no time in putting their newly acquired rights into action.

Chris Richardson and Keith Garrett tied the knot on Friday afternoon at the Cuyahoga County Probate Court with the help of Presiding Judge Anthony Russo. “After 18 years, to have our relationship legally recognized is, it’s still taking time to sink in,” Richardson told Fox 8. “There’s really no words. It was a very emotional time.”

Emotional indeed. Keep the Kleenex handy as you watch this footage from Friday's monumental proceedings.
