Music News

Hey! Local/regional bands and musicians! WRUW-FM 91.1 wants you for the 34th annual Studio-A-Rama festival in September at Case Western Reserve University.

One of the oldest running festivals in Cleveland, the Studio-A-Rama gives musicians and bands an opportunity to increase the exposure for their music and contribute to the Cleveland music scene even if the festival attendees are broke college kids who won't buy your records but will post pictures of you on their Instagram. Publicity is publicity, right? The deadline for submissions is July 12 and WRUW has a few simple guidelines.
  • Only musicians and bands that haven't played the festival in the past four years are eligible.
  • Send in a sample of at least three songs, a band bio with line-up, photo, contact information and website.
  • Send all of this to WRUW-FM, Attention: Studio-A-Rama, 11220 Bellflower Road, Cleveland OH. WRUW will also accept electronic submissions at
The all day Studio-A-Rama festival is held outdoors on the campus of Case Western Reserve University and has featured headlining acts such as the Black Angels and Mission of Burma in the past. WRUW will choose seven to nine bands to take the stage with a yet-to-be-announced headliner. WRUW will broadcast the festival in its entirety on its FM home, 91.1 and via their website

WRUW will consider all types of music for the festival so even if you are a deathcore yodeler or love to jam on your didgeridoo, make sure to get your submission to WRUW by July 12. This festival is a great opportunity for local musicians and bands to increase exposure for their music and contribute to the Cleveland musical community and culture.
