This is Me, the latest release from local rapper A-Bomb, who says he tries to do “a little bit of everything — R&B, pop, hip-hop” on the album, drops next month. In advance of its release, he’s just released a music video for the track, “In the Dark,” which he dedicates to the victims of “real life tragedies.” It includes references to shootings that have taken place both in Cleveland and in the rest of the country.

The video for the rap-rock tune opens with footage from the local news coverage of the shooting of five-month old Aavielle Wakefield and then includes footage from the rioting that took place in Ferguson and in Baltimore. “I tried to give a raw and scary feel inside the true life we live in,” says A-Bomb, who has been recording and performing locally for the past ten years. The album is slated to come out on Nov. 10.
