John Kasich Requests 'Equal Opportunity' Coverage from NBC Following Donald Trump's SNL Slot

After Donald Trump's riveting appearance on Saturday Night Live, fellow presidential hopeful John Kasich is feeling a little left out. He had his team send a missive to the NBC folks, demanding coverage under the equal-time rule in broadcast journalism.

Because Trump's SNL outing wasn't specifically exempt under the rule, Kasich insists he's entitled to an equal opportunity for coverage on NBC's network and affiliates. Trump appeared on the program for 12 minutes and five seconds.

We're guessing that all Kasich really wants is a chance to do the Drake "Hotline Bling" sketch.

(Lindsay Graham and George Pataki have also requested equal time from NBC.)
