Zack Bruell a James Beard Semifinalist for Parallax

The James Beard Foundation announced the semifinalists for the 2016 this morning and Zack Bruell is the lone name from Cleveland.

Bruell earned the nod for Parallax, the seafood resto in Tremont with French-Asian roots that he opened back in 2004. (He's gone on to open Cowell & Hubbard, L'albatros, Dynomite, Chinato and Alley Cat.)

The category? Best chef in the Great Lakes region. Check out Bruell's competition below. Check out the full list of semifinalists in all categories here. Finalists are announced on March 16.
