LeBron James' Production Company Acquires Rights to Viral Fake Draft Video for Comedy Feature

by

LeBron James' production company is shaping a comedy from a video that went viral last year during the NBA draft.

Humor writer Connor Toole—who happens to be a cool 6'10"—put on a suit and fooled just about everything into thinking he was a second-round pick for the Utah Jazz. The ruse got him free drinks and lots of attention from the ladies. Check it out:

James and Maverick Carter's production company, SpringHill Entertainment, acquired the rights to the video along with New Line Cinema. So far there's no word on when the movie will be shot or released, but Cleveland does happen to have tax incentives for shooting locally and the hometown boys sure do love Northeast Ohio...

The comedy, which doesn't sound like it will be a full-length film, will be the first feature to come out since SpringHill signed a long-term content creation deal with Warner Bros. LeBron James will be a producer on the film, and Madica's Jeff Tahler, Maverick Carter and Shawn Sachs will be executive producers.
